Port of Trelleborg has two new Ferry locations and Portsuppliers Group has designed and delivered the Marine Fender Systems to both.
The choice of Fender Systems at location FL13 was closed panels with UHMW-PE face
pads and PsG LE Rubber Elements along with chain system. In the location FL14 the choice fell on PsG Arch Fender. Mooring PsG Tee Head Bollards on both locations.
Since the end of January the new LE-V fender system is mounted and ready to use for the new Lifeboat Institution in Falsterbo.
A cold January day the raft was ready to use for mounting the fenders. The choice of marine fender system was LE-V fender, which has two rubber legs mounted with a shield of UHMW-PE. The rubber leg for optimal energy absorption and the low friction shield to glide on. As there are tide difference in the Falsterbo channel it is important that the boat can glide sufficient when moored.

Sometimes solutions need to fulfill several aspects. In winter when snow and ice usually keep the working boats busy just to have the mooring fairway free from ice, they cannot go too close to the usual fender system in case of getting stucked and in worste case destroy a fully good functinal fender system. Behind you still have the LE-V rubber element to absorb the energy and have the right reactionforce for your berthing ship.
