MARITIME SAFETY: A CORNERSTONE OF GLOBAL TRADE A FOCUS ON SUSTAINABLE, LONG-TERM SOLUTIONS

Sustainable Investments in Uncertain Times: Why Maritime Safety Systems Matter More Than Ever

Dear partners and clients,

We are living in a time marked by uncertainty. Geopolitical tensions, disruptions in global supply chains, and rising sustainability demands are reshaping the foundations of global trade—particularly maritime trade. With more than 80% of the world’s goods transported by sea, ports and maritime hubs have become central to commerce, economic growth, and security.

At Port Suppliers Group AB, we have spent over a decade working to enhance the safety and sustainability of ports. Through innovative maritime safety solutions, we help ensure that ports around the world can meet not only today’s challenges, but also those of tomorrow.

Increasing vessel traffic, larger ships, and faster turnaround times are placing greater demands on reliable and robust infrastructure. Fenders, which protect vessels and quay structures from damage, are more than just technical components—they are essential to maintaining uninterrupted operations, ensuring safe working environments, and reducing maintenance costs. The same is true for our bollards: strength, material selection, and correct installation are critical to a port’s ability to handle both everyday operations and extreme weather conditions.

We are committed to developing products with longer life cycles. Our range of fenders is made from materials that withstand extreme stress while being recyclable. We also offer consultation services to ensure proper sizing and placement, optimizing each project for both technical performance and cost-efficiency.

As global conditions evolve, so too must our infrastructure investments. We support our clients in future-proofing their facilities with solutions that stand the test of time and meet international standards for safety and sustainability.

Warm regards,

The Port Suppliers Group AB Team

PSG FENDER SYSTEM WITH CLOSED STEEL PANELS AND LE RUBBER UNITS WITH CHAIN SUPPORT

PsG steel panels are designed for optimal strength. Most often, the focus lays on rubber fender elements, but at high forces, the steel panel is as important as the rubber units on high-performance fender systems, this because the fender panels distribute reaction forces throughout the panel and give low hull pressure on vessel. The panel design may withstand large tidal variations and line loads. Another advantage of distributing the forces is that the panels can be designed for interconnection. For more secure mounting, the panels are designed with chains. PsG steel panels are designed either as open panels or often as closed box systems. With closed box systems, the panel is always airtight pressure controlled. Corrosion protection is provided by color systems with high durability in C5M class. The panels can be adapted for a variety of rubber elements PsG LE elements, PsG cell fenders PsG cone fenders etc.
