A fantastic material that creates several conceivable areas of use and applications. UHMW-PE as a protective surface and a softer part that absorbs mechanical energy and at the same time reduces the noise level. PE can both be a carrier plate or used as a slip and wear layer on the surface or vice versa with the absorbent the material at the end to create less friction. In between there is a stiffening as an option. The plates can be obtained with machining precision after drawing.
The PsG DUO comes in several varieties:
- PsG DUO ET
- PsG DUO ProGrip
- PsG DUO RC
PsG DUO ET is specially developed to match different grips from Shore A40 to Shore A80 and also with different hard sliding surfaces. These properties mean that materials can be used in a wide range of industries and machine designs. It is also ideal for use in performance engineering and of course as a low friction material in a fender design where one side of softness is required. Another advantage is that the material also is sound-absorbing.
PsG DUO ProGrip, in this variety, the Pe layer is only a carrier and the surface consists of the UV protected
softer layer, which is a non-slip surface. You can either have the confetti-like carrier plate with one side soft or you can choose the double-sided with different hardnesses. PsG Duo PRO-GRIP-M-medium hard (54A ±3 Friction coefficient of more
than 0.6 um externally tested according to VDI2700 German technical directive (safe loads).
PsG DUP RC This is a three-layer material, where the upper and lower PE layers can vary, but the intermediate layer always consists of a softer absorbent part with a Shore hardness at 40A (soft).
The material is available as a plate or finished product according to drawing.
